Why We Value Orchids

When it comes to fragrance, orchids are truly exceptional and have been used for centuries in the creation of perfumes and in the practice of aromatherapy. Additionally, they hold medicinal properties that have made them a staple in traditional Chinese medicine, with applications ranging from treating coughs to addressing kidney, lung, stomach, and eye ailments. Orchids have even been considered potent aphrodisiacs in various cultures, such as Greece and China, where consuming their bulbs is believed to enhance desire. While orchids are widely known for symbolizing fertility and elegance, it's important to note that different colored orchids hold diverse symbolic meanings. Our personal favorite is the purple orchid, which represents royalty and admiration and is often exchanged as a token of respect.
